Fitted to the site
Each sauna is drawn for its place: a listed boathouse in Ulvik, floating on the fjord, on wheels where the ground demands it. Small, reversible interventions that do not privatise the shoreline.
Building physics
Fully insulated, hygroscopic construction without a conventional vapour barrier. The room breathes, handles the moisture and lasts.
Sauna craft
Löyly, ventilation, stove placement and materials that give a good bathing climate and a long life. Enough window for the view, never more than the heat will take.

Concept studies, schematic design and detailed engineering, as a separate commission or as the first step of the full delivery.

Planning applications for public bathing facilities
We have run planning applications for 14 public bathing facilities as responsible applicant, five of them for projects we neither drew nor built. That is why we know the statutes that decide whether a sauna project stands or falls: the Cultural Heritage Act, the Nature Diversity Act, the Harbour and Fairways Act, and the rules for state-secured outdoor recreation areas.
