Vikedal Badstove

Vikedal Laugarlag had worked on their sauna for several years when they contacted us in 2024. It will stand on the breakwater in Vikedal harbour, on land the municipality owns, and the form is the association's own choice: a grindabygg, a traditional post-and-beam building, with slepplaft log walls that can be taken down and moved, and with the frame visible inside. Outside it gets two changing rooms that everyone who swims can use, also those not going into the sauna, and Rogaland county council has granted funds for the universal design. We handled the planning case and have delivered the working drawings to the carpenter who will build it.
