Storebø Sauna

Storebø Sauna stands at the very tip of Prestaneset by Storebø Brygge on Austevoll, on an old concrete quay in the outdoor recreation area. It may stay there as long as it is open to everyone, which was a condition of the permit. We designed it with a sliding door on each long side, so bathers can walk to and from the sea partly sheltered by the sauna, and we handled the planning case. Teige Nes Bygg built the module, which was put in place on 20 December 2024. Austevoll Idrettsklubb opened the sauna in January 2025, and Sparebanken Vest financed it.
