Salhus Badstove will be a sauna by the fjord, open all year, at the Rotholsneset bathing spot in Salhus in Bergen. Museumssenteret i Hordaland is behind it, and Salhus Badstulaug will run it. The bathing spot belongs to the village's old textile factory complex, and the whole shoreline settlement is protected. Permission to build anything new here is granted a few years at a time, so the building has to be able to disappear as easily as it arrived. The sauna is therefore drawn to be lifted away without leaving a mark. It is small and sober, and does not try to look like the factory. We drew it and are running the planning case: the sketch project was presented at a public meeting in March 2026, and the county council said yes in September. Museumssenteret is our first client from the museum sector.
