Rosendal Badstove is coming to Malmangervikjo in Kvinnherad, together with Rosendal Turnlag and Rosendal Bygdelag. The bay is a state-secured outdoor recreation area, where the main rule is that new buildings must not take space away from outdoor life. The operation is therefore part of the application and not something that comes afterwards: the changing room stays unlocked without booking, and on weekday mornings the sauna is free. It should make the bay more used, not more private. Two associations stand together on the project, Turnlaget as the formal party and Bygdelaget as an equal partner, and that division has since become our template for projects where several local associations join forces. Sparebanken Norge has granted 170 000 kroner in pre-project funding. The case now sits with Kvinnherad municipality and Vestland county council.
