Piren, sketch proposal

Piren is by Sjøsanden beach in Mandal. In 2025 Lindesnes municipality held a concession competition to build and run a sauna there, and the bid Blaud AS submitted contained two architectural proposals. This is ours, sketch proposal 1: a barrel roof, curved walls between the posts and a fenced outdoor area, clad in untreated heartwood pine. The other proposal was drawn by Sydvest Arkitekter, and that is the sauna that stands at Piren today.
