Øyane Sauna

Øyane Sauna sits on its own floating dock at the new quay on Bruarøya on Lepsøy, looking straight out over Kerringhavet. It is drawn for the place it stands in and built to take weather and wind year-round, with room for ten people and large windows that let the light in. The sauna is fully insulated, and a pre-heating system means it is ready at the booked hour. Operation is self-service: you book online, receive a code by text and let yourself in. It was built by Teige Nes Bygg AS with materials from Øystein Boge AS, as part of a larger voluntary effort on the quay at Øyane. The sauna is owned by the sports club IL Øyglimt, and the surplus goes straight back to the club and the facilities the whole village uses.
