Os Sauna

Os Sauna floats at Osøyro, built together with Os Turnforening. The club wanted a sauna that was easy to get to, and that did something for both physical and mental health. We took the concept from Bjørkheim and drew it again for an open, salt fjord: the construction handles the maritime climate, and the expression is taken from local building tradition. Booking and the lock run through our own system, so you do not have to arrange anything with anyone in order to bathe. Today people of all ages use it. Os was the project that showed us the model could work for others than ourselves.
