Meland Sauna

Meland Golf Club first wanted a floating sauna at Fløksand, but the Norwegian Defence Estates Agency said no because the site lies in a military area. The club then suggested putting the sauna on wheels. It had to lose one and a half tonnes to be roadworthy, and now weighs under three tonnes on its trailer. It is wood-fired, takes twelve people, and is the only sauna we have made on wheels. We designed it and managed the build, Teige Nes Bygg built it, and the club owns it. It was finished in the summer of 2025.
