Laugarstovo

Laugarstovo is an old boathouse on Prestakaien in Ulvik that is now a sauna. The boathouse is listed in the Sefrak register and once belonged to the vicarage. The sauna is an independent cross-laminated timber structure inside the boathouse, designed so that everything can be taken out again and the boathouse stands as before. We designed it, handled the planning case and made the website and lock, and Prestakaien Laugarlag runs it. The project won the 2025 Sustainability Award at the Norwegian Sauna Conference in Oslo.
