Geilo Badstove is being developed with Hol municipality, through Hol Frivilligsentral, and in close cooperation with Geilo Badstuelaug. It will sit by Ustedalsfjorden. What is unusual here is how many pulled in the same direction from the first meeting in March 2025: the ice bathers, Visit Geilo, Geilo Sti og Løyper and the Geilo town committee. We have written the project up and helped bring in the financing, now secured at over one million kroner, from Skuestiftelsen Hol and Sparebankstiftelsen DNB among others. The municipality and the voluntary sector pull together without the facility having to sit on the municipal balance sheet.
