Eikelandsfjorden Sauna

Before the sauna came, the sauna committee in Eikelandsfjorden Idrettslag travelled to Bjørkheim to try the sauna there in winter. The sauna they got stands on land right by the sea at Leiro in Eikelandsosen, next to the pump track, and that was deliberate: on land it is easy for everyone to reach. It opened in December 2023, fully financed by Sparebanken Vest, on municipal land the club is allowed to use. We designed it and handled the applications and the planning case, and the carpenters were Teige Nes Bygg. The club runs the sauna, and volunteers keep it clean.
